Upon removal of the shocks we noticed the one shock was buggered completely and then only did I order the bilsteins shocks. It might be the setting on the shock then as you say, but I am not sure how the shocks will have to be set?
read previous posts & picture, the shocks should be at lowest setting. The cradle should be as far down as possible...

Thanks, I will have a look at the shocks and see where this craddle is set to.

If not at the lowest setting - does the whole assembly need to be taken apart or can it be adjusted whilst still installed to the vehicle?

It would be very interesting to do a comparison between some of the Aussie suspensions and the Germans. I have the Seikel Desert fitted with Eibach coils and shocks and it is superb. I even had a west coast farmer tannie in the bakkie a while back, she commented that it felt like a Mercedes on the dirt road we were on. High praise indeed, I think?

The germans just really seem to understand shocks and suspensions. When the time comes to upgrade I will most probably fit the Bilsteins because I haven't seen the Eibachs for sale anywhere. BUT, if someone were to show me how good an Ironman setup is in comparison, I will be very willing to change.

Perhaps on the V6 that I'm trying REALLY hard to convince myself I don't need..

the entire assembly will need to be removed and taken apart... If done by someone that knows what they are doing it shouldn't take long

This is how my coils compared that came from Mikem(Darryl).

Not longer but just more turns in coil that came from them.

I have also fitted an Arb delux relacement bar and it only dropped 12mm in front.

    Hope this helps.

Mine is exactly like that but longer, Darryl had supplier issues at the time but managed to get me longer coils... Give him a call and see what he has for you... Im sure he will remember me as he couriered coils back and forth multiple times to assist me .

If you just put in spacers, you only lift the centre of gravity. There is no improvement in wheel travel or flex nor load carrying ability. In fact you slighty worsen the road holding. When using a proper aftermarket suspension, usually the higher centre of gravity is compensated for by the suspension setup. Your wheel travel improves due to longer shocks. The shocks would be better quality than stock. Springs can be designed to cope with a higher than normal load, e.g. when fitting steel bumper and other accessories.
When a man sits with a pretty girl for an hour, it seems like a minute. But let him sit on a hot stove for a minute and it's longer than any hour. That's relativity.

    Agree 100%!!
If you're simply looking for more ground clearance it might be an option, but if you then fit a heavy bumper you would actually reduce your front susp travel!

Dit is baie meer compose op grond paaie. En obvious jou travel is beter. As jy oor n speedbumb gaan dan is die bewegung van die neus op en af def minder. Sal nie se hy ry baie harder nie.

Rear Set-up with airbags, these are pretty awesome as you can inflate them up to 7 bar with heavy load. Fully loaded 3.5bar worked great to level the Amarok,
Load include, canopy with fridge & battery plus 50l Water & 50l Diesel on the roof rack with amo-box & side awning Plus fully loaded trailer also with extra fuel, 100l Fridge and 2 x Dual battries.
