Default Toyota 2006 Prado won't start, even though immobilizer is fine

Yesterday, I reversed my 2006 Prado into a parking spot in my complex. I turned off the car, got out and realised that the parking wasn't 100% right, but when I got back in and switched the car on (it's an automatic - so brake was pressed, car was in park and all lights seemed to work when turning the key to engage the starter motor), it wouldn't switch on.

All the fuses are fine and the electronics are working, it seems to be something to do with the immobilizer or other.

Anyone had this problem and find any alternate solutions to try? - disengage the central locking/theft protection? Turn the key 3 times kind of tricks to circumvent something?

    Thanks.

I once had the same simptons when the starter motor brushes got to their end. Take a hammer or something heavy and lightly knock the starter motor and try again.
