    Default Savuti Channel news?

Time for the annual question - since 2010 at any rate! What's the feeling about whether the channel is likely to flow this year? Has the earthquake tilted things the right or wrong way? (We spoke to a guide in Kwara last year who thought that even the small quakes that year had affected them badly!) There's one comment from this year on TripAdvisor suggesting that the Channel is flowing again, but I can't find supporting evidence from anyone at Zibadianja or Savuti.

    Thanks

    John

Will go and check it out next week, but it will take to the second part of June to be back, no Wifi in the bush

It may have changed, but this is what it looked like 27-30 April.

    Thanks Frans for the pic!
Itīs nearly unbelievable, after so much rain this year....

Further, as I can see on the webcam of the Hakusembe Lodge, the water lever of the Okavango is also not very high by now. Could this also mean that the water of the delta will not rise so much this year?

The north of the Delta has peaked already and is receding but waters towards Maun are only about to arrive, so there is a time delay of a few weeks (up to 3 months).
We have not heard any record readings for this year however.
