I only buy a director's chair, with a fold out table. Aluminium. I find it is just so much more practical.

Brilliant, being a Jimny owner I am always looking for space savers.

Being big boned and well rounded it must be sturdy. What is the weight rating?

Director's chairs in general sit so much better than spider chairs, but can be bulky for SUV users

    From Camp and Climb's website:

    Specifications:

    Dimensions: H93 x W81 x D50cm (width includes side table)
    Packed size: 58 x 50 x 44cm
    Weight: 5.4kg
    Maximum load: 115kg

According to them the packed (I presume they mean folded up) size is 58 x 50 x 44cm. That is a pretty big cube! It can't be right, it seems to fold down flat. Maybe is is actually 58mm x 50cm x 44cm or there-about.

Heine, can you measure yours (folded up) for us please?

Unlike some others on this forum (a previous thread), I far prefer directors camping chairs to the collapsible spider ones. To me they are far more comfortable to sit on but then I was only a hooker not a prop or lock! I don't sleep in my chair and don't need a headrest. I like flat folding for packing.

The only annoying thing is having to continually chase others off your chair around the campfire.
