    Default TFA 2016 - after loading ,actual road speed warning sign dissappeared on Garmin

    Hi all

    Thanks for helping on my other post. Question,after loading TFA 2016 on my Garmin,I noticed the road speed sign ie what maximum speed you can travel on road,just disappeared and only showed my actual travel speed. What is happening and any help please. Thanks

    Do you have both mapsets enabled at the same time ?
    Could be that one is interfering with the other, I only ever have one map enabled at a time.

    Yes, only enable one at a time. Otherwise your Garmin gets confused.

    The road speed sign is part of the data supplied on the Garmin map. When the Tracks4Africa map is selected then only that map data is used and we do not populate speed limits in our map, hence the indicator will disappear.

    We use real avg speeds (derived from GPS recordings) in our maps to enable you to calculate accurate ETA's but the speed limit is not something we actively maintain.
