What can I get to put under a double jockey wheel to prevent it from digging into the ground? Some light.

a Piece of 12mm marine ply should do the job. I use that for my jockey wheel as well as the stands.

To move the trailer in soft sand, place the jockey wheel on a spade. You can actually pull the trailer and direct it by using the spade handle.
Works very well when moving the trailer. Did this many a time in Moz or those sandy camp sites in Savuti.

When you are parked up a piece of wood will work fine.
