Awesome I'll try get a hold of one.

Dave my next big repair is lower control arm bushes. I'm going to follow your advice and order off Amazon. I don't have time to go to guys who make bushes. Maybe I'll also order the air spring system....

do yourself a favour and also order a pickle fork ...it makes the job of separating the old ball joints a bit easier...youll find the prices have gone up a bit - the cost for one arm a few months back ended up at R2k landed...

I just had my front trailing (control) arms replaced at Suzuki for R7200 excl Vat, excl labor and excl sundries.. I reckon the job cost me around R10,000 all in. I will recon and sell my old set to recover some money, or sell both arms as is for the new owner to press new bushes and joints.

So, you can save yourself around R6k if you order in and do it yourself. I do think the new arm route is the way to go, as it ensures a new lubricated ball joint at the same time. Whereas just getting the bushes replaced, the ball joint remains as is, unless it is reconditioned too.

Any difference between, say 2006 and 2009 rims? I have a choice. The older rims look chunkier.

I don't think so - I have this version so I can only vouch for it...but if they are the same I would go for the newer ones or whichever are in better condition...nice to have choices 😎

    Thanks Davey. Haven't seen those.
Getting a 5th for the later rims is an issue. Jeez! I can get a set of 4 for R800 plus R400 courier-and then sukkel for that 5th.
The older ones come with Geolandar's with fair life left- R3500 to get them to me. R900 for a 5th from a scrapyard
Money is tighter than tight but not keen on 18" tyre prices
Pirelli Scorpions AT- 235/60/R16- on special for R1600. I want...

I bought 4 of the same rims than what Dave has @R800/rim plus courier from Durban and I got one here as spare for R700. I still need to put tyres on but the 18" Dunlop tyres still have about 30k km of thread left so I'm in no hurry for tyres now. The ones you can get is very good priced, take them.
