Default Sacred lake and some 4x4 next weekend

    28-30 November 2014

Join us on a quick weekend jaunt to the revered and sacred lake Fundudzi in Limpopo. This is a short, action packed weekend, where we will explore the mountains and tracks around the area.

We will depart around 7:00 AM from the Pertoport north of Pretoria, stopping off at Modjadjiskloof to view the cycad forests, and learn a bit about the Bolabedu People, before making our way to the camp at Fundudzi.

Those that cant get away early enough can drive through to Fundudzi on Friday Afternoon.

Saturday we will start the day off by visiting the Sacred Lake, but only after observing all the correct cultural protocols. After some time at the edge of this sacred lake, we will explore the mountain treks of this area, stopping off to photograph epic views, magnificent waterfalls kloofs.

We will be accompanied by a botanical expert to further help understand the significance of this areas natural heritage too.

Bring the cameras, and make sure the batteries are charged, this drive is going to be amazing.

We then spend another night at Fundudzi camp, and will depart at leisure after breakfast on Sunday Morning.

The weekend is fully catered, and the accomdation is in rondavals with beds (Own bedding required). Those joining the convoy on friday morning will also be given a snack pack to enjoy in the car.

Space is limited to 10 persons.

    Cost: R1250.00 pp/sharing

This is not an official Authentic Adventures Trip, Lake Fundudzi camp forms part of the African Ivory Route, I have simply made a booking with them for the weekend, as well as arranged community guides to take us to the lake and so forth.

Authentic Adventures will however be responsible for the catering.
