Hi Eric, seeing as I didn't win the charger in the raffle please send me a price list on the BX series.

    Hi Tunja,

I can always organise another raffle... With the help of chaps like you, we raised R21,000 for the Christmas Cheer Raffle and I think the pics say it all - isn't she just too cute for words!!

I am all out of BX-2 chargers, last one sold today, still have BX-1 chargers in stock. I did place an order last year already but I am still waiting for stock to arrive. I emailed the supplier again yesterday but seems they are still closed as I did not get a reply. Hopefully, I will have stock in a couple of weeks again if you don't mind the wait.

Thanks Eric, Yep that smile she is worth all the tickets I bought - glad to see it go to a worthy cause!

    Hi F D,
I have a BX-1 for about 2 years now and have it mounted on the garage wall.
As I do not use my 80 Ser Cruiser that much, for obvious reasons! I have installed cig lighter sockets with caps on the front bumper and plug the BX 1 into either the starter or the 100 A/hr deep cycle battery.
Neither ever seem to get fully charged, according to the LED on the charger. The starter battery is a bit suspect, but the deep cycle has hardly worked at all and has never run flat.

Before I did this installation and charged the batteries directly, it seemed to work well.
Could the extra lengths od 1mm˛ cable make a difference?

Most probably the combination of extra lead length and also the voltage drop caused by the cigarette lighter plugs. These are not really designed for a continuous current draw, even at the reasonably low level of 3.8A max that the BX-1 delivers.

It would be more beneficial to fit the standard lug leads of the BX-1 permanently to each battery and move the charger closer to the battery, without extending the DC leads. I think I still have some spare Lug Leads available for the BX-1, these just plug into the standard white quick-release connector.

    Thanks, FD,
How much for a pair incl. postage to Benoni?
Guess I'm being lazy with these plugs, but sometimes I'm not here to disconnect for Swambo when she uses the beast and just reverses out and the cig plug just pulls out. But I'll to a test with the correct leads that I have.

Just a note to confirm I'm as happy as can be with my BX-2 charger from Eric. Works a charm, and means I can put off replacing my old batteries for a few more months.

    Thanks, Eric

Erin, glad it's working for you!

Now - if I can just learn to address parcels correctly, a very patient certain other member would have received his chargers *before* his birthday yesterday!

    Hi FD

I purchases 4 chargers from you last year. I require 2 additional bolt-on cables please. Do you sell these separately?

I got my charger back, thanks Eric.

If I bought it from you how would your warranty have worked?

Do you send it away or is there a replacement warranty/guarantee on the unit that you sell?
