Thanks Kobus, it takes great clear pics even whilst moving !

I purchased an Eagleye V2 Dashcam on Friday and am impressed with it so far, after some weekend driving.

A few questions, if I may:

    • I am finding it impossible to remove the camera from the mount. It seems to be very tightly secured once it has clicked into place! Is there a secret technique that I don't know about? I am happy to leave the DC in the car 99% of the time, but there are times that it would be better to remove it (without removing the suction mount, etc) when parking my car in dodgy areas for extended periods of time, or when my car goes in for a service, etc.
    • Is there a way of playing back some footage directly on the DC, instead of viewing it on the computer?
    • If I have locked a clip during a trip, how can I locate it after I have transferred the footage onto my computer?
    • Where can I find out what the latest firmware is for the DC, and how do I install it?

I look forward to hearing your input.

Can I add a question here too?
Looking for a way if possible to take pics with a remote cable thingy. To get my fat finger behind the mirror whilst driving is a problem when watching some likely perps in our neighbourhood.

    Hi Duncan.

You have the video recording. Pause on the frame while you playback and then rightclick. You get the option to save the frame.

Thanks Kobus. I'm using Preview to take a still off my video at the moment but just find it easier to export a pic straight to cpf WA group. Let me fiddle around. I remember father had a little cable to set off his camera. But that was before time started....
