Sure it will. The two universals can compress quite a lot. It also help to have someone spinning the wheel to spin the shaft to access the bolts. Enjoy the smooth ride afterwards.

shaft is installed. The install went very easy. Less than an hour.

I will report back on my 5th gear vibration once I have done some miles.

    Went for a test drive.

Wow! The car is transformed. I suppose one slowly gets accustomed to the bad vibrations of a dud shaft.

The car is now super smooth. I drive on feel and seldom look at the clocks. When I did look I was on the wrong side of the speed limit by some margin. I backed down and enjoyed the new feel of the car.

I have the old bearing in my possession of someone wants measurements or have questions etc.

Got a 72 watt LED light bar today and couldn't wait to install it

I now have plenty lights for the dark

    70W HID projectors (OEM)
    110W Halogen Projectors (OEM)
    110W ATV Spots - Aftermarket
    72W LED Bar - Aftermarket

Jip, 362W of light at my disposal. I'm sure my 180 Amp alternator doesn't mind at all!

I'll post a video up of it's light from the dashcam when I use it at night

Marius, where did you get the lightbar?

I'm considering a curved one off fleabay, 120w I think it was. And how did you wire it?

It is a 72W bar from china town. The box says maXeed. The nice thing about them is that all the led lights are the spot type. There are no diffuser lenses on the sides.

It is switched via relay from a feed i got on the OEM halogen projectors.

I'll go check our china mall next week. What did you pay for them? And did it include a mounting bracket?

Very cool, Marius tell me more about the wiring, above was too brief. Do they now go on with your brights, or individually selectable, i.e. you put a switch in the cabin?

    Video of the drive home.

The dashcam auto adjusts after a second or two when the brights come on

    Some more install pictures

    The permanent positive feed

The two relays. One for the small halogen spots and one for the LED bar

The feed from the back of the headlights that switches the relays

The top flatbar holds the two small halogen spots. The bottom threaded bolt you see is the only attachment point for the LED bar. The bumper pinches the bar to hold it tight and the rear bolt holds it to the bonnet catch brace. I attached a thick galvanised bar to the back of the LED bar and the one bolt attaches the galvanised bar to the car.

I will try and get some comparative shots with the camera tonight.

All pictures were taken with the same setting

    1 sec exposure
    f-stop 5
    400 iso
    manual focus
    no flash

The power pole as can be seen in some of the pictures is at a distance of 130m

It can be seen very easily with the human eye. The picture brightness is a lot darker than what the human eye takes in but I felt this would be a good measure between the different lights.

Thank you Marius. Understand the wiring now 100%.

Is it legal to have additional light wired to your brights like that. I do think I'd want it switchable from the cabin. Not difficult via the wiring going to the relay. Just more wires to put in and get through the firewall without damaging anything.

Don't see much difference when your ATV lights are on with the light bar. All the lights don't seem to extend the illuminated range much, but light up the close range much brighter, or is that just the photos not showing this as in reality?

I'd still like to have a bullbar/crashbar of sorts and then mount all these things on there. Front of the Treg (lower area around the fog lights) is very vulnerable when off-roading.

I'll see if I can get my old plastic bumper from the panelbeaters when the repair on mine is done. Would be great to have one that I can cut up and somehow build a sturdy bar protecting the lower front.

Perhaps I should approach Lynx with that when I have the old bumper. Just find no-one is interested in building one-off accessories unfortunately.
