    Dit lyk bedrieglik.

    Daai is 'n washer.

Thats the way I found it between the radiator and fans. Must have been a horrific death.

Could be. How did the glow-plugs look on inspection?

So possibly someone pulled the glow plugs, broke the tip off on one, and just carried on as if nothing had happened.

Glowplugs look. Your thoughts are my thoughts exactly!

I'm replacing my glowplugs with the new ones ASAP!

Joh! Been nearly a week since I drove the treg. My everyday car is a single cab mazda 2.5TD.

Getting used to the bakkie makes driving the treg such a pleasure!

Im starting to like this car all over again!

East London to Douglas with a quick stop at Gariep.

    Just over 700km.

    101km/h average speed.

8.9l/100km when I stopped in Douglas.

Did about 150km gravel. With these new bushes.... Damn this car can handle gravel at speed and the ESP didn't intervene once which means there is plenty still in reserve!

Don't know how you manage to keep your speed down when the treg is so comfortable cruising at silly speeds. Wish I had a bit more self control

Next time you do a trip check the average speed on the MFD. if you can keep it above 100 you are not going easy.

The average may be 101 but that wasn't the speed I was doing most of the time.

Valid point, but it only makes me more jealous of your fuel consumption

Despite doing 30 000km I still have to drive the Treg long distance without towing anything so still have no clue what its open road consumption is like

On a related topic - can the fuel consumption readout be re-calibrated. Looks like VW set the computer to flatter themselves. My actual consumption is well above what the vehicle calculates.
