    Hi maruis net hoor waart jy jou R5 se workshop manual gekry.
    Ekt ook een afgelaai maande terug maar hy praat niks van bv. Om daar by die battery te reset nie

    Ek het daai spasies gesien op daai bladsy, maar vir my wys hy net die backgroud kleur, geen foto of iets nie, ek an die boonste fotos sien, miskien maar op desktop draai en nie op ipad nie.

    Ek was gister toe by bosch hulle het niks verder gedoen nie, ek het die geel knoppie gedruk by die battery (battery is nie opgekoppel nie), ek het n click geluid gehoor, daarna die knoppie weer gedruk en geen geluid, miskien nou kontak herstel, ek hoop so

    Nog n vraag ek sien jyt n laptop gebruik vir die errors ens, Waar kan ek die program kry en die rekenaar kabel, ja jammer jy bly so ver.

    Ek kan nie presies onthou waar ek die battery knoppie inligting gekry het nie. Ek soandeer baie tyd op forums om antwoorde te kry.

    Anton, I would seriously just contact Tim Legge and get the vehicle on a flatbed to him. Not to be negative, but the chance of DIY fixing this with very little base knowledge is quite slim. It will cost you more in parts & nerves than just getting a proper assessment and letting someone who is really qualified and passioante about Treg's to sort it out.

    What's the problem? Last I checked your thread you replaced the glowplugs and injector and I thought the problem was solved

    So far good news engin is starting and sounds very good, only thing now the alternator is not turning, on my way to see if rubber coupling is connected, otherwise gearend not connected?

    It can only be the rubber coupling. About R700 from Goldwagen.

    Alternator comes off relatively easy. Just 3 allen bolts - one is hard to reach. Get a good 1/4 allen socket, extension(s) - don't use a 1/4 ratchet - it will break!





    A/C pump coupling - It is identical to the alternator coupling

    after viewing the doc that marius gave us on how the injectors work, and the the photo of how clogged up the No5 injector was, i believe that 2SO should be used.
    maybe the tandem pump should be changed every 100k
    change injectors every 100k as well
    then the engine will go to 1bar

    checked the rubber coupling it is connected and it rotates when turning it by hand which means the shaft is not connected to the gear. Enginering place is going to drop the gearbox to see what's cooking.

    When we tested the headlights now at Bosch my hole front headlight is dead nothing is working, Bosch tested the end of the plug there is no power coming trough, my PDC is also dead.

    On the info that Bosch has about the fuses and relays does not give detail as to what is where.

    I also have a PDF file for the fuse locations but it does not indicate which fuse is for what. Thanks

    hold it right there!

    If the rubber coupling is turning by hand the rubber coupling is stripped. If the gear was buggered that engine won't run at all.

    Not to be funny but that workshop clearly hasn't got a clue.

    Take it elsewhere.

    Took the sump off today on my touareg R5 engine.

    Checked book 3.4 "tips and maintenance", p77, it gave some indication of fuses.
    Saw one for dipped headlights and one for main beam lights. which i understand means one fuse for both headlights, but how can everyhing be dead on the one headlight and everything is working on the left headlight?
