    Injector 1-4 is from old engine.

    Other side is the same.
    I made a temporary plan with poly bushes. I don't like them in there as the surface area is not the same as the sleeved bush that makes the bush press on a larger area.

    Anyway. I ordered some bushes from Germany on the 5th. They were marked shipped on the 12th.

    They arrived today.

    The gearbox mounting was cheap and that's about the only thing I haven't changed yet. At the price I ordered one as well.

    Fitment in the next day or two.

    Mostly cruise control at 108km/h on GPS.


    The beetle returned 13.9l/100km


    Should be a bit better on the way back tomorrow.

    The clocks read about 110. GPS speed was 103.

    Yes, mostly cruise control.

    In my experience VW odo's are very accurate. I once checked my old Golf III against road milestones between CT and Jozi and it was bang on over the 1 400 km.

    Just got my statement from Wesbank.

    Car was financed over 73 months.

    Only 17 to go. The end is in sight - couple months or so after that the final engine loan will also be settled.

    The interest just eats you!

    Ek voel jou pyn Marius. Ek het nog 24 maande om te gaan op My Amarok, en daarna die volgende twee kinders op universiteit. Gaan nog moeg word vir hierdie bakkie, so lank sal ek hom moet ry.
