Die touareg het great angles en ek wil nie sy crumple zones compromise nie. So die bumper idee gaan ongelukkig nie gebeur nie.

Surely we are well past the r5 engine build. Can we not let this thread die and post on topic as mud tyres have no relation to an r5 rebuild.

So fitting tyres to an R5 touareg is not part of an R5 build?

This thread is about the life of my R5. I'm happy that it no longer revolves around an engine build.

Yeah I agree. This thread was about an engine rebuild, which has long since been completed. The thread doesn't have relevance to the topic anymore

    So what do you suggest?

    New threads every other day?
    Topic title change?
    Stop posting completely?

Or is this forum just happy when we post bad stuff and breakdowns about vw's?

Could always make use of the Touareg Owners thread.... Just think it makes sense for users looking for engine rebuild information to look here, but for general Touareg info (new tyres, 4x4ing, etc) to look at the Touareg Owners thread (Or start a "What did you do with your Touareg Today" type of thread...)

How quickly can you find stuff on the touareg thread?

How quickly can you find touareg specific stuff via my index on page1 of my thread?

It was just a suggestion. Just thought that this sort of general discussion should be in a separate thread.
Having owned a Touareg not that long ago, I have absolutely nothing against them and agree that they are very underrated. Just if I was a new user on the site and was looking for general Touareg information, I wouldn't go looking in a thread about an engine rebuild

Marius, honestly, I think the guys do have a point. As much as all this extra stuff is informative and interesting, it really does have nothing to do with the engine rebuild saga. It detracts from the original intent and dilutes the impact.

I think a new thread on Touareg mods, issues, ideas, etc would serve the cause better.
