On top is a gps receiver for the double din.

To the right is a dashcam wired to ignition positive.

So today I had a scare.

Drive around and when I put my foot down it feels like the car has lost some power.

I pull over, check the tyres, check the handbrake, feel the hubs, check the boost pipes...

and then it hit me. I filled up earlier with Castrol 50ppm and before that, it had Shell 500ppm in.

My car has a noticeable performance gain by using shell 500ppm over other diesels.

This is not the first time I notice this.

So, if you have a pumpe duse engine like the 1.9tdi, R5 or v10 then give shell 500ppm a try. You might like it!

Castrol is plausible Marius openly admits to filling his diesel car up with oil at every opportunity ;-)

I think these cars are like their owners. All of us dont react the same even when eating the same food. My car again perform the best (fuel consumption and power) when using Caltex 50ppm. Sasol is my cars enemy. If I use Sasol I react similar as to what you did, till I can refuel with Caltex again. Then me and my treg are happy again.

To be honest, when I had my Amarok and my T5 Kombi, I filled with Sasol, BP, Shell, Caltex you name it - could never feel a difference between them. I must also add, only filled with 50ppm.

    Dankie.

Ek het gelukkig gister 'n genuine canyon rim opgespoor vir R500 wat ek later in die week sal optel.

Dankie vir die moeite. Waardeer dit.

I saw a blowout in front of me the other day and that scared me into quick action. (the space saver is no longer useful as it's smaller in circumference than the bigger tyres I fitted - which means using it can stuff up the diff and/or transfer case)

Less than ten days later a rim was found and a tyre was fitted.

It's on the roof now for an upcoming trip (to free space inside) but mostly it will live in the boot.
