The armature is also close to the end of its life.

I found an old video I haven't shared yet. Friends of mine didn't listen while I was away and took the microbus down to the dam. It stayed there for two days until I got home to pull it out!

My right side indicators front and rear and park light stopped working with a "check lights" and "check indicator lights" warning on the MFD.

I checked the bulbs and they looked fine.

I then checked the wiring in the headlight unit and the insulation looks a bit brittle and started coming off in certain spots. It gets pretty hot in that housing with all the lights.

Re-insulated the wires and the indicators still didn't want to work.

I suspected a blown fuse from the exposed wires and the bulbs that were still fine.

Replaced the 10 amp fuse and all is well again.

How's this for clearance? Jip. That's a whole Amarok engine under my rear differential... and a milk crate under the chassis

Is that a Prius I see in the background or didn't you pick up the dogs droppings?

Changed the h7 halogen projectors for h7 HIDs.

I must say, the kits you get these days makes it so easy.

Dont worry, these only come on with the brights. HIDs in normal reflectors is a real pain for oncoming traffic.

But don't buy from Nicole Store - http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/user/2663868/Nicole_store

She advertised that she had stock. I ordered it on 11 Dec 2014 and had to fetch it at the post office today, even though I paid for door to door.

definitely not. The 6 speed slushbox from Aisin is a beauty! It locks up in all 6 gears. It's fuzzy logic is also very clever and I rarely need to flip it to tiptronic to change gears myself.

Go and drive one yourself. You will never look at SUVs the same as it will set the benchmark.

Had the same automatic concern years ago. Went to an A4 CVT and then the Treg, never looked back. Would never dream of not buying an auto now.

The R5 did come in a manual in SA btw... In Europe the V6 TDI was also available in manual.

That would be interesting. Provided it can carry 900kg, I wonder how it will affect consumption. Even at 180 you are still getting 7 litres per 100km in a Prius.

    Really? I don't believe that.
