    Default 33" R15 Bande

    Ek is opsoek na vyf 33x10.5 R15, 33x11.5 R15 of 33x12.5 R15 alle terrein bande vir my Wrangler TJ. Bande moet realisties geprys, betroubaar en stil wees en uitstekend vaar op nat teer en in baie los sand - die res is byna irrelevant!

    Ek sou iets soos Goodyear Wrangler AT/SA, Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac, Hankook Dynapro A/T of Pirelli Scorpion ATR verkies. Maar dit lyk my beskikbaarheid van alle terrein bande in 33" R15 grootte in Suid Afrika is baie beperk!

    Alternatiewelik oorweeg ek Hankook Dynapro MT, omdat dit 'n sagte rubber is, maar ek is nogtans bang vir los sand en padgeraas!
    Sal Hankook se MT bande meer geraas maak en swakker op nat teer en los sand vaar as BF Goodrich se AT bande, wat ek tans op het?

    Enige ander voorstelle?

    Ek het gekyk na hulle, maar ek het nie goeie ondervindinge met Firestone beleef nie (darem langer as 20jr gelede) en het geen ondervinding van Bridgestone bande nie!
    Het jy enige ondervinding van die Bridgestone Dueler 694's?

    How much 4x4'ing are you planning to do?

    I also bought my wrangler with BFG A/T 33x12.5x15 - ideal rim for that size tyre is an 8J for function, 10J for looks.

    The wrangler is noisy anyway I like the whine of the muds on the tar, and if you don't fit a freeflow won't hear it then.

    Look at Maxxis Bighorns, Kuhmo's or my favourite DC Crushers.....

    Myne het nou so 80 000 gedoen. Baie goed op nat teer. Padgeraas is ook nie veel erger as die Michelin LTX wat ek voorheen opgehad het nie. Sandry werk goed.

    My volgende stel is weer Duelers.

    The Wrangler will be used more for long distances on tar, Mozambique's sand and occasional visits to game reserves and farms, than serious 4x4'ing - for that I'll still use the lighter Suzukis.

    Performance in loose sand is very important, as I visit remote areas in Mozambique often and don't wanna get stucked far away from the nearest civilization or be caught by high tide!
    Even more important is safety, especially braking on wet tar!

    With all respect, in my opinion, no MT tyres and no BF Goodrich tyres are ideal for wet tar or loose sand!

    According to your own experience, which MT tyres perform the best on wet tar?

    Pablo if you want an ideal tyre for wet tar a Mud Terrain is not it, I have had the DC Crushers on my Jeep for almost 2 and half years and we get a bit of rain in the Cape no hassle so far, then again I know I have them on so I keep a good following distance and dont do more than 110km/hr.... but if it was mainly for tar usage I won't get them.....

    2nd part no mud terrain is ideal for loose sand thats a matter of opinion from which I differ.

    The JK I have has got Maxxis Bighorns on and they are much better on the road and I drive it daily.....

    I had the BFG A/T before and they are alot quieter on the road but can't compare to Muds in the sand....

    Thank you for the advice! I think I must get a set of MT762 Maxxis Bighorns and see for myself..........

    Rather get the Bighorn 764's they out perform the 762's on all areas, and you might even get them cheaper than 762's as 762 are old stock and harder to find.

    Unfortunately not available in 33x12.5R15
