We run the Kewer and space is not a problem.
For us it is pleasure as we used an Echo 4 in the past.

Just have to find space for the "extras" we are used to take with.
Think we found the solution, having some alu boxes cut and bent and will do the weld work myself.
It will take the camping chairs and footstools out side on the roof and have extra packing space inside for the long trips.
The box inside will be a step to get easier into the bed, thus minimize the head bangs on the beam in front (tested with an ammo-box).

The inside seats came in very handy at Lake Eland the other day.

Yesterday I had the order form for the Boskriek printed out and ready to send off on Monday. This morning I ran it past the government (SWAMBO) quickly to make sure we covered the few optional extras.

Out of the blue she asks why we would be buying the 3 sleeper and not rather the Miskruier 4 sleeper. It is mostly just the 2 of us heading into the sticks, sort of our happy place. My 19 year old daughter does not really enjoy the solitude of the places we favor and thus seldom accompanies us. SWAMBO reasons that the extra double bed can come in handy if my daughter joins or even just for some extra space inside.

So there goes all my reasoning as to why the Boskriek is the perfect setup. I thus need some input from the hardy Bush Lapians to put my mind to ease and go fill in the Miskruier order form for Monday...

I must add that I have opted for BL purely on feedback from reading this thread about 2.5 times from front to back over the past 2 years or so. Our local dealer has no units on the floor here in PE so I have not physically laid a hand on one or been inside. This is a big leap of faith for an OCD Engineering type personality....

So my last few queries please:

    - Do any of you regularly camp 2 people only in the Miskruier? Does setting up the extra front tent add much to setup time and effort?
    - How much space is absorbed internally should one not drop the front tent down for a quick stop over and is it still useable if one left the front mattress at home for a mom and dad only trip?
    - How and for what do you use the extra bed area if you camp two only?

I know this decision would be based on individual preference but would really value your experiences in this regard.

We settled on the Vlooi (2 sleeper) with the benefit of all the additional packing space where the front bed would have been. The two kids sleep in their dome tent. I am happy with the Vlooi where as other people prefer the three and four sleeper Goggas.

I spent the whole morning reading the older posts from around 2013 again. I see Iím not the first to wonder if it should be the Boskriek or the Miskruier.

Made up my mind, Miskruier it is!

Fantastic thread with so much valuable information for the prospective buyer.

Rian, the front bed is longer and wider and just have a more airy feel. So if it just you and Swambo, believe me, you will opt for that bed not the side bed.

When my son stops camping with us, I thought of having just a single bit of matress made for the side bed. So we will still open it and then have just one piece of matress on the bottom end of the bed to sit on.

BTW: the BL stand was the most crowded of all the caravan and trailer manufacturers stand's at the Beeld show when we were there today.
